About

Stephanie hails from Chapel Hill, NC and obtained her degree from Wash U in Applied Linguistics, Spanish, Psychological and Brain Sciences. She was awarded a Fulbright as an English Teaching Assistant in Mexico and spent time with UNC Global Women’s Health Department during her gap years. She continued to explore her love of the way that language unites people by completing UNC’s Comprehensive Advanced Medical Program of Spanish (CAMPOS) and serving Spanish-speaking patients through her roles at SHAC. In medical school she was selected to complete the rigorous Global Health Scholarly Concentration, through which she has participated in multiple projects locally and in Latin America. She was elected to AOA. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys being outdoors with her dog Lexie, running, latin dance, pottery, knitting, and visiting the triangle’s international grocery stores!
