How to Apply to the Pediatrics Residency

Our program participates in the NRMP and accepts applications through ERAS. Deadline for application is November 1st. Criteria for all applicants include:

Graduation from medical school no more than two years prior to application year
At least three Letters of Recommendation
MSPE
Transcript
Personal Statement
Passing USMLE Step 1/COMLEX Level 1 result at the time of application
Passing USMLE Step 2 CK/COMLEX Level 2 CE result at the time of Rank List submission
Due to the suspension of testing, submission of USMLE Step 2 CS/COMLEX Level 2 PE scores are waived
For International or Foreign Medical Graduates:
- ECFMG certification is required by the time of rank list submission
- UNC Hospitals supports the J-1 visa
