Crazy Socks 4 Docs

Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day is all about raising awareness of the mental health of all doctors and health practitioners around the world. This organization has the vision of breaking down the stigma around mental health issues in doctors and health professionals, celebrated this year Friday June 4th.

On June 4th the UNC Departments of Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine, along with other SOM departments, will show their solidarity for doctor’s mental health and wellness by wearing crazy socks, and we want you to join us! Please encourage your co-workers to wear crazy socks June 4th. We will be sharing our crazy sock photos on social media within our departments using #UNCSOMCrazySocks4Docs.

UNC Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Symposium I

Patent Ductus Arteriosus in Premature Infants: Clinical Trials and Equipoise
The purpose of this symposium is to identify best practices to achieve equipoise in PDA clinical trials. Our objective is to work towards a large consortium to trial of PDA questions, identify the different obstacles to pragmatic trials and propose solutions to guide trial design, and provide thought leadership on how to navigate ongoing shifts in clinicians’ understanding and approach to PDA.
