    Cannon Accepted to NC TraCS Clinical Trialist Training Program

    Laura Cannon, Assistant Professor in Rheumatology, was accepted to the 2024-2025 NC TraCS Clinical Trialist Training Program. The Clinical Trialist Training Program (CTTP) is a NC TraCS initiative that provides didactic and experiential training that fosters the development of faculty who are interested in being new site investigators for multicenter clinical trials. Congratulations Laura!

    Sarkissian Speaks at August 2023 Roadmap Collaborative

    Aliese Sarkissian, MD, MBOE was a guest speaker at the August 2023 Roadmap Collaborative Action Period Calls where she shared some lessons she’s learned about engaging her colleagues in testing strategies. Dr. Sarkissian was site co-leader in the Roadmap Pilot Collaborative and is now leading a team in the current collaborative as part of her spread efforts.

    Pan, Wu, and Cannon were published recently in the journal, Contemporary Pediatrics. Biologics to the rescue: changing the treatment paradigm in juvenile idiopathic arthritis considers the use of biologic medication in the treatment of juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

    Drs. Laura Cannon and Eve Wu were invited to presented at the 2023 Carolinas Fellows Collaborative Winter Symposium. Dr. Cannon’s presentation was entitled, “Pediatric Rheumatology Potpourri” and Dr. Wu presented, “Autoimmunity and Immunodeficiency: Two Sides of the Same Coin”.
