Provider and Parent with ChildAs of January 1, 2022, Coastal Children’s Services and Coastal Carolina Neonatology is providing care as part of the UNC Health Children’s team. UNC Health Children’s in Wilmington, serves patients up to age 18 with complex conditions in multiple hospitals and outpatient clinics across southeastern North Carolina in the areas of Pediatric Cardiology, Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Neonatology, Neurology, Pulmonology and Newborn Care. Our caring and compassionate pediatric professionals are trained for all levels of treatment required by young patients. We are continuously growing our network of specialized care providers to increase our value as a trusted source for parents in North Carolina. Our focus on continuing education and innovative care models enables us to provide our patients with standardized, high quality care.

  • Martin Moya, MD, MPH, MHS

    Welcome New Physician Faculty: Martin Moya, MD, MPH, MHS

    Dr. Moya joined the Department of Pediatrics as Professor with the Neonatalogy group in the Wilmington Pediatric Specialty division on January 15, 2024. Dr. Monya recently relocated to the United States from Argentina with his wife and 3 children. He received his medical degree and other post-graduate degrees from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, completed his pediatric residency at National Hospital of Pediatrics (Hospital Garrahan) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed his subspecialty training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, with additional post-graduate training at the Duke University Medical Center.   • Jordan Pung, MD

    Welcome New Physician Faculty: Jordan Pung, MD

    Dr. Pung joined the Department of Pediatrics as an Assistant Professor on January 8, 2024. Dr. Pung received his BS in Biomedical Engineering from North Carolina State University and completed his medical degree at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He was a Pediatric Resident, subsequently Chief Resident, and finally a Pediatric Critical Care Fellow at Duke University. Welcome Jordan!

    Welcome New Clinical Provider: Benjamin Bowden, MSN, FNP

    Benjamin Bowden, MSN, FNP, joined the Wilmington Pediatric Hospitalists group as a Nurse Practitioner on January 8, 2024. Most recently, Benjamin has worked at Seaside Pediatrics. He received his Master’s degree from the Chamberlain University and earned his BSN and undergraduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Welcome Ben!

    Welcome New Clinical Provider: Morgan Such, MSN, PNP-AC/PC

    Morgan Such, PNP, joined the Wilmington Pediatric Hospitalists group as a Nurse Practitioner on December 11, 2023. Most recently, Morgan has been a Nurse Practitioner the PICU at ECU Health and was previously a nurse with UNC Children’s on the Hem/Onc/Bone Marrow Transplant service. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022 and her BSN from Clemson University in 2016. Welcome Morgan!
