Current Position: Senior Director of Medical Affairs for Tetraphase Pharmaceutical
Dr. Melanie Olesky is Senior Director of Medical Affairs for Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals. She is currently responsible for leading and growing Medical Affairs capabilities for the organization to support the generation, communication and dissemination of medical and clinical information on pipeline and ultimately marketed products. Melanie earned an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and a PhD in Pharmacology from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She then completed Postdoctoral Research at Harvard Medical School. Prior to Tetraphase, she had several industry roles in Clinical and Medical Affairs departments, which included Regional Director of an MSL team at Cephalon/Teva Pharmaceuticals (Oncology) and Director of Training for the Cubist Medical Affairs department (Infectious Disease). Altogether, she was a part of teams that helped successfully launch five products.
