Dr. Wijetunga is a forensically focused clinical psychologist. She has expertise in personality, cognitive, and forensic psychological assessment with a broad range of patient populations. She also has psychotherapy experience with adults in correctional, civil psychiatric, and community settings. Her research interests lie in the intersection between psychology, public policy, and the law, with a particular focus on risk assessment and management of individuals in the criminal justice system. Dr. Wijetunga has published research in forensic psychological journals, including Law and Human Behavior, Criminal Justice and Behavior, and The International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology.
