Professors Otto Zhou (UNC Physics & Astronomy) and Sha Chang (UNC Radiation Oncology) have received a prestigious Grand Opportunity (GO) grant in the amount of two million dollars from the National Cancer Institute to develop a nanotechnology-based microbeam radiation therapy treatment delivery system for brain tumors. This is a recent achievement of Zhou and Chang’s fruitful collaboration that has led to a number of radiotherapy-specific novel technologies for basic cancer research and future clinical applications.
