The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), through its National Science and Technology Council  (NSTC) Research Subcommittee, was tasked to create a framework for implementing National Security Presidential Memo-33 (NSPM-33), a driving force behind research security efforts nationwide. The following guidance provides clarity on the impact this has on Current and Pending (Other) Support and Biographical Sketch documentation (also known as Common Forms). NSTC has worked to develop consistent disclosure requirements for Senior/Key personnel and common disclosure forms for the Current and Pending (Other) Support and Biographical Sketch information.

Summary for National Institutes of Health (NIH):

NIH will implement new requirements in May 2025. Until then, adhere to the current NIH guidelines for providing this information. Be aware that NIH will reject any application using the new methods before May 2025.

NIH has suggested that this information might need to be submitted via SciENcv to align with NSF’s approach. However, until an official announcement is made, refrain from using SciENcv to submit your information
