Plasma and Serum Study
You may not participate if any of the following apply to you:
- Under age 18
- Over age 35
- Inaccessible veins
- Menstrual cycles occur more frequently than 25 days OR does not occur within 35 days on average
- BMI > 30, in accordance to Center for Disease Control criteria for obesity. If you are unsure, you can calculate this using your height and weight at: BMI Calculator
- Abnormal PAP test within the past year (unless a follow-up PAP test result is normal)
- Current pregnancy, attempting pregnancy, or sexually active and not using effective barrier contraception (condoms)
- Intrauterine device in place (IUD)
- History of more than one prior spontaneous pregnancy loss.
- Uterine abnormalities, such as fibroids
- Breastfeeding
- Chronic use of hormonal medications. Examples include, but are not limited to, birth control pills and other hormonal contraceptives.
- Underlying medical disorders
