We are pleased to announce the graduation of Hans Arora, MD, PhD, and Minh Nguyen Pham, MD, from the inaugural interdisciplinary Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (LAMP) 2023-2024 cohort.
Initially selected to participate in LAMP back in October 2023, Drs. Arora and Pham have spent the last eight months with the UNC School of Medicine’s Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development in a program designed to build a sense of community, purpose, and confidence while honing essential skills for success in academic medicine.
The LAMP program provides a comprehensive curriculum, spanning critical elements such as career planning, effective communication, time management, financial literacy, and networking. Through twelve engaging sessions featuring esteemed speakers and small group mentorship from experienced faculty, Drs. Arora and Pham delved into topics essential for thriving in their roles as junior faculty members.
Drs. Arora and Pham are joined by a cohort of 21 other UNC School of Medicine faculty members from 14 medical and basic science departments.
