The UNC Urology Department is pleased to announce the accreditation of our Urologic Oncology Fellowship Program by the Society of Urologic Oncology.
The goal of all SUO Fellowships is to provide training in Urologic Oncology that goes above and beyond residency. Like all other SUO accredited programs, ours provides multidisciplinary exposure to urologic oncology and specialized mentorship in urologic oncology research.
Fellows will receive a superior experience and achieve a level of expertise that will allow them to thrive in the care of patients with urologic cancer, their practice environment, and their scholarly pursuits.
We are excited to announce the accreditation of a new Fellowship Program at @UNCurology. Congratulations to the new Program Director @tanray22 and the entire department!

About Uro Onc
Urologic oncology is a subspecialty of urology focusing on the evaluation and treatment of patients with malignancies of the genitourinary tract, including the adrenal gland. Specialists in this discipline possess knowledge of the basic and clinical sciences related to genitourinary malignancies as well as clinical skills in the medical and surgical therapy of these cancers.
Fellowship programs educate fellows in the evaluation and treatment of urologic cancers including the molecular mechanisms of disease, pathology, radiology, radiation and chemotherapy treatments, surgical management options, and survivorship care, so trainees will graduate with knowledge of a multidisciplinary approach to urologic cancer care.
About The Society of Urologic Oncology
The SUO was created in 1984 to enable qualified members interested in improving the care of patients with malignant genitourinary diseases.
